Quaid-E-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Today’s Pakistan: Horrific Secrets

This blog looks at the life of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder and great leader of Pakistan, to the current situation in Pakistan

The request of Nurse Quaid-e-Azam

The last days of Quaid-e-life Azam’s were spent in Ziarat (Baluchistan). In times of serious illness, a Nurse served him very well. Quaid-e-Azam asked her one day “What can I do for you, daughter?”. He had never asked someone such a question before. “Sir!” said the Nurse. My residence is in Sialkot. My entire family live there. I’m the only one working here. You should transfer me to Sialkot so that I can live the remaining life with my family.

“Sorry daughter, I cannot assist you in this aspect,” the Quaid-e-Azam stated. The Secretary of Health, not the Governor-General, is responsible for this.

If you compare today’s Pakistan to Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan, it appears that every institution in Pakistan is under the power of a feudal lord. On the contrary, numerous ministries have been taken over by the rulers themselves. Member of Assembly’s direct the Patwari, to have then false FIRs at police stations, and to make erroneous transfers and appointments in the Education Department. How beautiful Pakistan would be, how free and satisfied the people would be if today’s rulers were solely concerned with their duties. How easy it would be to get justice. There would be no concept of oppression and abuse. It is a pity that if influential thugs kill and turn around, they are free, but if a poor person steals bread, people kill him before the courts.

Quaid-e-Azam and the closed gates (Pathak) of the railway

The Quaid-e-Azam was passing through Malir Cantt in his car. The gate closed when his car reached the gate. ADC was also with yhim, he got down and went to the gatekeeper, told him that you do not know who is in the car? The gatekeeper asks, “Who is it?” The ADC says that Quaid-e-Azam is sitting in the car. The gatekeeper opens the gate. Quaid-e-Azam asks ADC why the gate is open? He answers, “Sir!” You have to wait, so I opened the gate. He said to close the gates, I don’t want a Pakistan in which the gates are open for VIPs and closed for the poor.

Can today’s ruler live with this thought of Quaid-e-Azam? Can any such example be found in today’s Pakistan? Nowadays, even for the child of a ruler, the highways are closed for hours. The patient, rubes their heels to death in the ambulance but no — our kings are important to us, roads will be closed, hospitals will remain closed, they will pass through empty highways even if someone goes through life.

Quaid-e-Azam or the Emperor of Pakistan

Once Quaid was at Delhi. He was given his painting, dressed in golden robes with the words “Emperor of Pakistan” printed beneath him. Quaid-e-Azam was furious and demanded that the photograph be removed immediately. No, the painter replied, this is our commitment and affection. No, Quaid answered, I’m not going to construct a Pakistan with monarchs and maharajas.

Today our same Pakistan has become the sight of kings. Ministry chairs are inherited. No straightforward person can dare to take part in an election against a bigot. Very little money is spent on the welfare of the people and a large portion of what is spent is spent on advertising campaigns. The money belongs to the people, the tax is paid by the people, the pictures of the elders keep moving.

Quaid-e-Azam and businessman friend

A friend of Quaid-e-Azam came to him. He was a businessman by profession and had to get a permit. He tells Quaid-e-Azam that his ministers abuses him. I’m entitled but not being issued a permit. Yes, the permit is your right, Quaid-e-Azam responded after looking through the papers. The friend said that you should call the minister and ask him to release my permit. Quaid-e-Azam said why should I call him as Governor-General? You have the right. If it is a legitimate job, then get the permit using the right method. Why do you get the permit using the wrong method?

Today, all the institutions of Pakistan, police, finance, education and health, etc, continue to run on the phone calls of the rulers. If one does even a little research, will find countless instances where one has been killed and the elected representative there, who is elected by the people, calls the police not to harass the killer.

Quaid-e-Azam and office expenses

Quaid-e-Azam used to keep a record of every day and never paid his personal expenses from the public treasury. A total of Rs. 38 was spent one day, in which toothpaste etc was bought. At the end of the day you commented on the diary that — the money should be taken from my personal account. This is Fatima’s expense, this money should be taken from Fatima Jinnah’s account. Out of 38 rupees, only six and a half rupees were there, in front of which it was written that these should be paid from government treasury.

Today, almost every employee, every elected representative is unaware of these lessons of Quaid-e-Azam. Where all their expenses are paid by the nation and the people’s money is used for luxuries.

Quaid-e-Azam and British High Commissioner

Once the British High Commissioner came to Quaid-e-Azam and said that the Queen’s brother’s is visiting Pakistan. We wish the Governor General to visit Airport and receive him. Quaid-e-Azam said that “it is okey that I will go and I will definitely go but I have a condition that when the Governor General of Pakistan’s sister or brother goes to Britain, the Queen would likewise greet him or her. We are a free country and on an equal footing”. Hearing this, the commissioner went back.

Apart from welcoming Pakistani delegates today, they undergo a lengthy search at the Airports and may be deported without entering the country.

Quaid-e-Azam and college students

During World War II (before Pakistan was formed) some college students came to see Quaid-e-Azam. They said — “Sir! You are building a independent country and when this country is formed we will become citizens of this country”. Quaid-e-Azam asked them, “Do you have bicycles with you?” they replied in yes. Then he asks, Is there light on your bicycles? At that time it was a law that every bicycle must have a headlight. Only one of the boys in the group said yes, my bicycle has a head light. He said that only one of you boys can become a citizen of this new country. The boys asked why Sir? Quaid replied that a person who cannot follow a minor law, there is no need for such a person in my country. The boys said, “Sir, this is a British law against which you and I are fighting.” Quaid-e-Azam said, The law is law, whatever it may be.

Today’s law of Pakistan is different for the masses, and for the feudal lords. It is a crime to steal bread to satisfy one’s hunger, but not to steal treasures.

Quaid-e-Azam and Gandhi

I have no reference to justify this conversation. Someone mentioned this somewhere in the video. Because of the nature of this conversation, I am confident that it will be completely accurate.

Quaid-e-Azam was once questioned by Gandhi, “How do you make your political decisions?” “Before I tell you about my decisions, I want to tell you how you make your political decisions,” Quaid-e-Azam said. Gandhiji gives him permission.

Quaid-e-Azam said that before making any political decision, you know what people are thinking. How is their mood When you find out what people think, then you decide to make people happy and I always make the opposite decisions.

Gandhi was surprised and asks what do you mean? Quaid-e-Azam says that I only see what is right and what is wrong and I decide what is right and what I think is right.

Gandhi inquires, “Do people accept your decisions?” Not at all, according to Quaid-e-Azam. I’m up against a lot of opposition at first. But because I’m resolute in my decision, and eventually my opponents acknowledge the truth.
