Good manners can help your children build strong relationships with others, make a good impression, and show respect for themselves and others. Teaching children manners is not only important for their social development but also for their future success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It often happens to us that our children tease us in front of people or do some habits that are embarrassing for parents. They do not greet guests who come home or ask for food in front of them. It is also often seen that young children do not speak respectfully to adults. There are many habits that should be taught to children in the beginning and they should be properly trained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/afzalbadshah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/71991-1mvd1aiuazwlhnieesghuma.jpeg?resize=640%2C407&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Mother teaching manners tochild\" style=\"width:840px;height:534px\" width=\"640\" height=\"407\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The child will follow\u00a0you<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Children often imitate their parents in manners, such as the way they speak, the way they dress, and the way they behave in social situations. Parents can set a good example for their children by demonstrating polite behaviour such as;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Smile and \u201cgreet\u201d politely.<br>Say \u201cgood morning\u201d with a smile and a polite manner.<br>&nbsp;Say \u201cplease\u201d and \u201cthank you\u201d when asking for or receiving something.<br>Use polite words like \u201cexcuse me\u201d and \u201cI\u2019m sorry\u201d if necessary.<br>When someone is speaking, listen and make eye contact.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<p><iframe title=\"I Wish Every Parent Knew This\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/videoseries?list=PLvgnnewY46IbfR56-iAUa9aP5KLiuUw8J\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Respect other people\u2019s opinions and feelings.<br>&nbsp;Adopt good eating habits.<br>Follow the instructions and rules.<br>Be kind and considerate to others.<br>&nbsp;Use appropriate language and avoid profanity.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Share and take things.<br>Say \u201cGoodbye\u201d with a smile and a polite manner.<br>Say \u201cgood night\u201d with a smile and a polite manner.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Give them a reason for these practices<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you practice good manners at home or in the office and while talking on telephone calls, the children will follow it. Once the child starts following these good habits, praise them. My two-year-old child asks for a clipping when he follows such habits. We have been rewarding him for each good habit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, you must also explain to the children why these practices are important for life; this will give them a reason and objective to follow. Never miss these practices; follow them consistently so that they may become ingrained in the child\u2019s subconscious.
